These ppl need to learn how to run a business. The "security" is a joke, drinks are 10$ plus and every employee is drunk halfway through the night..including the "one" bouncer who's suppose to hold it down in case there's trouble. How safe can you possibly feel in that box they call a club. What an illusion. They're lucky if they stay in business 1 more year. They must be getting fined left right and center for all the incompetence. There are 10 other spots in the city that play Zouk that are a thousand times better than this place.

There were too many good ones to choose from! The Victoria Square one yesterday and Fort York one today were fabulous!

If HawkerBar had just said expensive "street food-inspired" cuisine, those NIMBY alarm bells would not have gone off.

I don't have a comment on the resident's concern for noise, but I do have a comment on the proposed menu. The glaring North American twist I can see to Singaporean street food is the price. $17 for Hainese Chicken Rice? Really?

Noticed it the other day and I am THRILLED! I have eaten at Amaya (the restaurant) and it was amazing, so I hope the take-out will be good, too. (Though I will always be loyal to Banjara...)

The girlfriend and I visited this place last night, as she knew Chef Jeff and a few of the other staff from a previous location. We were blown away by the meal. It's obvious that the emphasis in this place is all about good food and good company. The server was pleasant and helpful. One cool thing was the that the cooks themselves ran the dishes and were able to explain themselves their creations. My personal favorites of the evening were the trout dish and the salt cod from the Snack Menu. The celery soup is also were mentioning as being delightful.

All in all, an excellent dining experience. I think the idea of a kinetic menu is an excellent one, and I can't wait to see what else these wonderful chefs have in store.

Hi, I own The Tamepred Press. I'm definitely not closed. I'm open and busy!! The Communal Mule closed down East of me...I'm assuming that's what you are talking about...
